Personal Background:
Marlon Ayers was born to Wilma (Myles) Johnson and Monroe Ayers, Sr. of New Orleans, Louisiana. Shortly after graduating from high school, he hearkened and submitted to the precious Gospel of Jesus Christ and was born again in 1993 under the leadership of his spiritual father, the late Dr. Leonard Banks, Pastor of Greater Full Gospel in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then, Brother Ayers served faithfully many years as a Sunday School Teacher, eventually being elevated to the Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School department for Louisiana. After receiving the call to preach the Gospel and believing that God showed him a vision for global ministry and soul winning, he commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force and was blessed to preach and teach the Gospel spanning the globe.
Credentials & Ministerial Experience:
1999: Licensed as a Minister by Dr. Leonard Banks, Pastor of Greater Full Gospel in New Orleans, Louisiana
2003: Ordained as an Elder in COOLJC of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. under the tutelage of Bishop David Maxwell, Pastor of Eliezer Temple in Lansing, Michigan
2004-2006: Pastored The Fire & Ice Chapel in Keflavik, Iceland
2009-2012: Directed training and activities for the Men's Department at the BibleWay Complex under the leadership of Bishop Barkley E. Bailey, Pastor of the Bibleway Complex and Diocesan Bishop for Missouri
2012-2015: Served as an Associate Pastor to Pastor Lesley Conyers of the Dream Center Church in Hawaii.
2017 - Present: Pastors Legacy COOLJC In Woodstock, Georgia under the guidance of Bishop William Montgomery, Pastor of Decatur Missions and Diocesan Bishop for North Georgia.
Pastor Ayers holds an undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and two Masters Degrees, one in International Relations from Troy State University and one in Management from Walden University. He is currently working on his dissertation as a PhD candidate with Walden University
Community Activism & Lectures:
Pastor Ayers has taught workshops and seminars on the local, state, and international levels on various topics to include Conflict Resolution in Marriage, Effective Marital Communication, Family Dynamics of Saved Men, SMART Goals, and Effective Leadership through Purpose and Vision. Moreover, he has been a guest speaker on various panels dealing with political and social issues facing inner-city youth, men, women, marriage, and the church body at large.
Passion, Family, & Military Service
Elder Ayers is an educator at heart. He is passionate and committed to the legacy of sound doctrine, the truth of the Gospel, and is an advocate for Christian development and outreach to the lost. Elder Ayers currently resides in Canton, Georgia and is blessed with an amazing family. He is married to Shannon (Johnson) Ayers of New Orleans, and they have four amazing and talented children. Pastor Ayers is a retired and decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force with distinctive, honorable service and three combat tours.
